Luma Pictures and Half M.T Studios Collaborate on Original Animated Feature Ira Dei
Los Angeles, [11 February 2025] — Luma Pictures is collaborating with Half M.T Studios on Ira Dei, an original animated feature created by Miguel Ortega (Writer / Director) and Tran Ma (Writer /Producer).
This project integrates emerging technology with a strong narrative focus, aiming to deliver a visually distinct and impactful experience. With a shared commitment to artistic innovation, co-Producer’s Luma Pictures and Half M.T Studios have come together to push the boundaries of animated storytelling for mature audiences.

Ira Dei was conceived and developed during Ortega and Ma's participation in the Rideback RISE accelerator program, founded by acclaimed producer Dan Lin. The program is dedicated to empowering underrepresented filmmakers and providing them with one of a kind industry access, mentorship, and resources to bring original stories to life. Both creators are also graduates of Gnomon School of VFX.
